Is this your picture? www. pixdaus. com/single.php?id=212506 (remove spaces from address) I found it from this website called pixdaus. Nobody seems to take photos there, they just copy pictures and post them to that site... And they just don't respeckt copyright! If you gave your permission to use that picture, then I'm sorry to bother you...

I stumbled on your Crete orchids while trying to identify some of those that grow here in the Algarve, where we live. What a serendipitous find! Loved them.

Thanks for your nice photos of orchids from Crete. I have some questions about what camera you use and what lens do you use. Do you use macro flash? And what f-stop do you mostly use and do you use tripods? I will go to Crete 9. April 2009 and stay there for only 5 days and I will rent a car and just find a hotel for the night where I will be at this time and how and where do you find all these orchids?

Absolutely wonderful safari gallery! India is a fabulous country - we've just returned from cycling in Kerala (As a result of which I have acquired a new nickname 'bus biter!')! Where was the safari and with which company? Would you mind sending me a link? All best from Glasgow, Steve

Hi Edwina:

Thanks for visiting again to my website, and for your thoughtful comments about the woodwright at Plimouth Plantation. A little more info: He designs and builds the period furniture that is featured in the on-site English settlement recreation of the year 1627. He is a charming and engaging fellow as well. His craftsmanship with period-type tools is well-respected, and his scholarship concerning period design and technique is exacting. He work was featured not long ago in Woodworker magazine.

Meanwhile, I love how you continue to populate your site with colorful flora and many creatures great and small -- but all show their beauty in your images.

Hello Edwina, and thanks for your kind words for my hummingbird gallery. There are more to come from Ecuador so please check back!

I enjoyed browsing your galleries. I am jealous of your travels!

I appreciate your kind compliment for my orange-hued silhouette of sandhill cranes with their "landing gear" down. They managed to stage this landing right in the bright afterglow that was above where the sun had just set behind the mountains.

I particularly liked your Alpine flowers. You have a creative eye for imaging.
