Die Erdpyramiden von Euseigne (Wallis), fast so berühmt wie das Matterhorn und erinnern einwenig an den Bryce Canyon in Utah/USA. Diese merkwürdigen Schuttkegel bilden die Eingangspforte zum Val d'Hérens (975 m). Sie bestehen aus porösem Moränenmaterial und sind rund 15000 Jahre jung. Stürzt einer der steinernen Hüte ab, so setzten Wind, Regen und Frost diesem lockeren Gestein derart stark zu, dass die Erosion sofort voll einsetzt.

The pyramids of Euseigne (Valais/Switzerland), almost as famous as the Matterhorn and reminds a little bit of Bryce Canyon in Utah/USA. These strange slender pillars are the gateway to the Val d'Hérens (975 m). They consist of porous moraine material and are about 15000 years young. Caprocks protect these pyramids not to fall to pieces.
