Argus Day is an annual event during which photographers throughout the world capture images using their favorite old Argus cameras.
This year Argus Day fell on August 16, making it Argust 16th. This is the 16th consecutive Argus Day, the first one was August 1, 2001.

In the morning I started out by loading a roll of Fuji 200 into an Argus STL-1000 SLR. First few frames were exposed in my backyard, and then I headed out.
Plan was originally to follow the route of Old Route 66, but there were highway detour issues, so I headed into St. Louis County instead. First stop was Powder Valley Nature Conservation Center.
From there I went to the nearby Claire Gempp Davidson Conservation Area to finish the roll.

In the evening after dinner, as the sun was sinking, I decided to shoot some more.
Another roll of Fuji 200 color film was loaded into an Argus C4, and exposed as I walked around the house, front yard and backyard.

Below is a selection of images from the two cameras, lightly tweaked and resized.

When I decide on my two favorite images from the day, they will be submitted to the event Web Site.
