Iron Mike - A relatively recent statue erected in Shenandoah National Park in honor of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).
I'm a volunteer park photographer. The CCC's 75th anniversary is approaching. As part of the anniversary commemoration the park is preparing visitor information. This image will be used in a commemorative poster.
Needless to say that in the rain and fog, two days before Christmas, I had the park to myself.
