Something about this color dahlia where it needs to be way overexposed in order to look good (in my opinion). This is overexposed by 1 1/3 stops (as measured by the exposure compensation setting while shooting aperture priority, but the histogram is nearly perfect stretching from far left to far right; without the big ++++ EV the histogram is confined to the left half.)
