Still life in natural light. I liked the rim lighting of the black pieces. Played around with just the pieces (my original intent was dahlia macros but I got distracted when I had to move the chess board out of the way and 15 minutes later settled on dahlias plus chess). Still had the 105 prime macro lens on the camera from plan A so I spent lots of time shuffling the tripod back and forth across the floor to get the framing right.
