7/16/06 - Yucca atop the Blue Ridge

I always wonder how these yucca plants made it to the top of the Blue Ridge mountains. Early settlers? Doubt it since they seem to grow in areas that have been changed from the settler's days with the introduction of Skyline Drive.
This was an experiment using the 75-300 telephoto. Managed to do OK keeping the yucca in focus, but lost it in the distance even at f/22.

Nikon D70s
1/30s f/22.0 at 75.0mm full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Nice shot! Consider that your close is very close and your far is essentially infinity.

Nice shot. And a healthy looking yucca in a place where you wouldn't expect to find it.
