Pinjarra Cultural Heritage Mural 2004

Reading the panel from RIGHT to LEFT:
The right hand panel shows the Aboriginal Dream time story of the importance of the Christmas Tree to the Aboriginal people.

2nd from the right:The Christmas tree was sacred and if a hunted animal found shelter under the Christmas tree it would be spared.

3rd from the right: Early settlers beginning to clear the land and settle.

4th panel from the right: Aboriginal boy showing a a White Settlers sons how to spear Black Bream fish.

The last two panels show the arrival of the steam train to Pinjarra and the railway station.

The left panel shows a youth and and a young girl on horseback with black cockatoos flying.
