My grandfather (Willard D. Hellekson) flew on the Curly Bird and he would have still been part of the air crew when this picture was taken as there are only 22 mission insignias shown here. He flew the first 40 missions on her as crew chief and left waist gunner. If you have any more pics of her, I would love it if you would share them with me.
