Blue Range

The southern part of the wild Hurrungane mountain range in western Jotunheimen, Norway.
Here viewed from the summit of Gjertvasstind/2351m the 10. sept. 2005,
during a 17 hour scramble to this remote and unaccessable peak.
The prominent peaks on the horizon are from the left: Store Austanbotntind/2204,
and the one with the glacier on its neck is Store Ringstind/2124m.
A harshly backlit and contrasty scene, where I deliberately chose to burn the sky,
in order to maintain some texture in the shadowed mountain walls.
The blue tint comes from blue sky reflections, haze and sheer distance.
