The rapid Isterfossen in river Femundselva, running from lake Isteren to lake Galten, in Engerdal, Hedmark county, SE Norway.
Here seen on a snowy bleak day in February, when almost no colors seem to exist in the landscape.
FYI: Femundselva is called Trysilelva further downstream through Norway, and Klarälven in Sweden. The total waterway is 460 km, of which 239 km lies within Norway.
It eventually ends up in Sweden's biggest lake Väneren, and thus tribute to the 50 229 km² catchment area of Göta älv, which is the biggest river catchment
in the whole of Scandinavia. Göta älv then finally reaches the Kattegat sea, by the city of Göteborg on the Swedish SW coast, so far away from here.
Kinda cool to know, that when you take the ferry from Göteborg to Denmark, going out the harbor, you're actually sailing this very water! :)
