Torgeir, Arne and Morten on the Hakluyt ridge just a few steps north of Hakluyttoppen S/2173m.
The latter, upon which I stand, had never been visited by mankind before!
Here we measured by means of a GPS some errors in the official heights on these peaks.
Our results were consistant over a series of measurements, and decreased the heights with approx. 18 meters.
Hence Hakluyttoppen N/2203 in the background is 2185m high, while Hakluyttoppen S/2173 is 2155m accordingly.
Of course there are margins for errors here, but we believe these heights to be closer to the truth than those annotated on the current maps.
