This vessel incorporated some high tech schemes, such as a retractable keel, containing 20,000 pounds of lead ballast,
raised and lowered by a hydraulic cylinder. This gave the stability of a keel boat at full depth where the draft was 12 feet,
but it could be raised to draw less than four feet for maneuvering into small marina facilities. Overall length was 73 feet,
the masthead was 95 feet above the deck. Construction was all from a special marine aluminum alloy, even the mast.
