This is one of the legendary Iron Horse Rambles, excursions run by the Reading Railroad in the
1960s, using the last serviceable steam locomotives on their roster. The view above is taken at the
bridge across the Delaware River at Yardley, Pennsylvania, looking toward the New Jersey side.
The T1 was a 4-8-4 with a permanently coupled tender and a booster engine on the trailing truck for starting.
The rig, in running readiness, weighed over 400 tons and was used for both freight and passenger service.
