An annual event in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, sponsored by the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles. Charles E. Duryea was an innovative designer of early "horseless carriages" dating back to the 1890s. He is described as the inventor and builder of the first successful hill-climbing gasoline automobile in the US and is considered producer of the world's first commercially produced automobiles. The nearby city of Reading was home to the Duryea factory from 1900 to 1907.
Ye Olde Photographer arrived somewhat late to do a major tour, but the event had well over 500 antique and classic cars, street rods and motorcycles on display, as well as a flea market and the usual foods found at summer festivities. In addition, there was a guy with an amazing collection of mostly custom made pedal powered machines.
So here is a selection of shots giving some idea of the scale of the event, in its 45th year (2010).
