To a lifelong compulsive tinkerer, working with clay just provides another opportunity to craft little tidbits to help shape and carve. In some cases, items seen here could be bought - but gee, that's no fun! In many cases odds and ends of stuff just short of landing in the trash can may be recycled. Tools Ye Olde Photographer/Potter/Tinkerer has made using wood often came from either scrap offcuts from larger projects, or in a few cases, some nice fine grain hardwood came out of an old sofa being trashed (beech anyone?)
