Some mature tree specimens for inspiration ...

These pictures are the result of an afternoon at the Morris Aboretum on the outskirts of Philadelphia. The gardens are now owned by the University of Pennsylvania and were once the grounds of a summer home!

These were intentionally taken on a winter day to be able to show the branch structure of the deciduous specimens.

Great trip through your Arboretum full of nice specimens and knowledge on your part. I'm a bit of a treehugger myself, but not on name terms. Like Colin's witty comment.

This was a great idea to use the winter months to show the architecture of the trees. Now, all that remains is a visit back in the summer, to stand on exactly the same spot, for the leafy versions. Perfect! :-)))))) (It is interesting how some trees become more 'significant and beautiful' in their unclothed glory, where others will definitely look better with full leaf coverage. (Much like humans, I guess. LOL ) Nice record.
