As in Auburn, Cord & Duesenberg. The museum is found in Auburn, Indiana, north of Fort Wayne. The building itself is worth seeing, the Art Deco former administrative offices of the auto company.
We spent a couple of hours here in a meandering drive returning home from a family event in Crawfordsville. One could easily spend more time; there are a number of video presentations on the history of these automobiles and the people behind them. There is also a major festival there each year. As a Pennsylvania resident, we noted many of the Duesenberg engine designs were actually manufactured by Lycoming Engine Company, in Williamsport, PA.
The cars on exhibit are in beautiful condition. One can't help some mumbling about "they don't make 'em like that any more!"
Sometimes Ye Olde Photographer can't help playing with some toys -- such as his Perkeo II folding camera. This is a 1952 vintage macchina fotografica that folds to jacket pocket size, but takes twelve 6x6 cm frames on a roll of 120 film. Shooting here with available light was stretching things a bit, a tripod (not sure if that's permitted) would have allowed better depth of field and less camera shake; but it was fun anyway! The B&W results are sprinkled in amongst the digi-color shots.
