This shot was taken at 1/1000th of a second, with 2 300 WS studio flashes, firing at near full power. It takes a LOT of light to shoot at f32 and 1/1000th of a second.
Just how fast does a bee's wings beat, anyway? Even at 1/1000th of a second, the wings are quite blurred. I have a few shots in my collection where the wings appear to travel through their entire arc in 1/1000th of a second. That's fast motion.
