Carswell is a former SAC base. The BRAC commission was going to shut it down,
but decided to keep it for the reserves - the USNR, USMCR, and ANG flying units.
Today, the base is known as Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth/Carswell
Field and is operated by the United States Navy.
