As a mother, every day brings me joy and frustrations, sometimes in equal doses, other times not. Often I contemplate other paths I might have taken, other rewards or costs. I think about the near misses of my life, the almost-chosen nightmares, the derailings of dreams. At the close of the day however, no matter my internal wanderings or misgivings, I settle into the comfort of love with the knowledge that I am not alone in this colorful and strange journey.
