This was the first shot posted and is still one of my favorites. I like being able to see the detail of the string itself as well as the shapes of the clamp's teeth. It's clear that the idea is to get a good grip on the string without damaging it so they've rounded off all of the corners and made it grab in multiple places. But with the close-up you can see the surface irregularities. And as for just being a pretty photo, I like it. It's a pleasing composition with neat colors balanced against the cold look of the steel. Good selection of the point of focus too. It's right where I want to see it for some reason.
