One of 2 consecutive shots going from smallish to wide-ish aperture, as I was becoming aware of new levels of gradation and smoothness in distance that have always been IN the XF 35/1.4 but not quite fully realised until the XT-2 is now paired with it.
There is a fresh "zing" that is now delivered to the lens, that is not something banal like megapixellage, but a reliability of performance that adds confidence rather than trepidation to the seeing process. That, and between the body and the lens, just a fresh ability to "draw" in a really attractive manner.
Don't get me wrong, the XT-1 was ACE but I'm feeling some of the added "glow" in the XT-2's shots that is not a matter of resolution but somehow of "drawing distance" .... best way I can put it on the fly as I write ...
