Recently there was a Guts Frisbee Championship held in my hometown of New London. This was the first time I'd ever watched the sport much less try to photograph it. I think I can hold my own when it comes to shooting birds but shooting fast paced, xtreme sports, well.....I suck.
Not that I am trying to make excuses, (hey whatever works), but by the time I got there the sun was full bore and pretty harsh. Also I didn't watch my shutter speeds real close. I was too busy concentrating on the action. So to all of you that shoot sports and get the shots you do, my admiration and respect.
Unlike these guys that play the sport.......I need more practice!
Tammie! I've never had photos of the boys like this, and I'm so happy to have them. All three of my brothers, my nephew, my sister-in-law's brother, and her nephew are all here. I'm going to print them off and save them for our next family get-together. ~Melissa
I think you did pretty good - you got some nice action shots and one can get a sense of the game. Harsh sun is so challenging - did you use a polarizer?
