For an additional $4 charge, riders can get guaranteed seating in an enclosed car (right) with less smoke and much worse view. Facilities are available for handicapped access. We chose the open car farthest from the locomotive for photo purposes. Open cars are oversold so you will may not have a seat part of the time but the view is such you will want to spend at least half of the trip on your feet seeing the sights. I suggest the closed car only be considered by those with medical problems that require care. The open car nearest the locomotive is for people wanting the full noise and cinders experience.
