11/11/07- Veteran's Day

We went to the Veteran's Day parade in downtown Bakersfield Saturday. It was a wonderful display of vintage Americana, patriotism and respect. I was proud that my town can still put something like that together. There was a large crowd and it never seemed to end but no participant's spirit flagged.
I took over 700 pictures. Of all of them, this was the one that made me go, "Ooh".

Not the usual way to show it. The relatively shallow DOF is a good choice, really giving a feel of depth. A very good image.
