Until March 2008 I have always found the museum closed, but this time I was in luck. That is, the guard told me the taking of pictures inside was forbidden, but I could at least see the, small and not very special, collection. In the garden a couple of curious monuments struck me: columns with a number of portraits along part of the outside.
A lion at the entrance I presume to derive from Demircili, a town near Silifke on the road to Uzuncaburc, with a number of fine Roman monuments for the important dead. I saw a couple of its fellows toppled over in one of those monuments.
