A river, the Akgüney Creek, flows through part of the town, to the Black Sea of course. Part of it was being covered in 2007 by a concrete construction, which is no great pity because the river is rather messy and extra space for building (or more probably a road) will be the result.
This is about 500 metres before it reaches the sea (in our back).
