Four of the giant limestone statues, facing outwards from the tumulus, on the upper level of the east terrace. They represent (from left to right) Zeus-Oromasdes, king Antiochos I and Heracles-Artagnes-Ares holding a mace; the fourth one is an eagle (guardian animal). The multiple names of the gods indicate their syncretic Greek-Persian nature. A highly developed technology was used to build this colossal statues, which were eight or nine meters in height (the fallen heads included).
In front of them, on the lower level, stand both a fragment of the Antiochus statue (the horizontal shoulder segment), and his head.
