An Atatürk monument, translated from a site I found the source of the words "He gave his historical order on September 1, 1922, saying 'Armies, your first target is the Mediterranean, forward'. The Greeks were running towards Izmir.
One of several pictures taken near the harbour. There are many parks there, with often some monument in them, or just some object to brighten things.
