Located at the Hükümet Meydanı, where one can also see some fine early 20th century buildings like that of the PTT, the T.C. Ziraat bank and some others, stands the fine Şerafeddin mosque, originally a Selcuk mosque that has been rebuilt after 1630. It is described as a copy of the Kiliç Ali Paşa mosque in Istanbul by Sinan, itself a copy of the Haghia Sophia. I understood the minaret has toppled several times, and that the whole mosque has been restored in 1983.
