I cannot find information about Iasos in several books that I checked. Though there is a good site by Selçuk University Faculty of Literature - Department of Archeology. Still, I am glad I went there, in an easy bus ride through fascinating hills from Milas. If you visit Euromos and have private transport it will be even easier to get there. The small town that nowadays sits on this spot has a fine museum in its former fish market. And from there you can make a wonderful walk along several good finds, like a good bouleuterion and an agora. Then uphill, to the old fortress. From there the view is great.
Dear Dick Osseman,
First of all thank you for your great work. I don't know if I can help you a little bit; I'm interested nowadays these region, and reading books about these places. George E.Bean, an English archeologists has a book named "Turkey beyond Meander" and a book about geography "Geographika" written by Strabon, an ancient famous man wrote about ancient world geography and a littele bit history. These are interesting books can be read by enthusiasm (for me of course)
