I travelled to Feke from Kozan, in order to see the lay-out of the town and, if possible, get to the castle. I did not make it to the castle which is several miles out of town: I did not feel like taking a taxi there and do another climb to a castle on a very hot day. Instead I just strolled through the small town. It lies prettily in a valley with a little stream running along. Then school went out and many of the children would pose for a picture before being bused to nearby villages. Only later did I find that all that time I had my expensive self-thinking camera in a wrong setting, so I had to do a lot of post-editing and some pictures should have been better than what I can show. A few days later I went there again, intending to walk the last few miles from a pass in the hills to town. Unfortunately I had forgotten that “a chance of rain” in the mountains almost certainly meant a down-pour, so after a mile or so I was waiting under my umbrella while the valley was lost from sight, due to the massive amounts of rain coming down. I show a few shots from along that road, then I had to pack my gear and wait for a bus back to Kozan. Luckily it came soon, what a relieve. Someday I hope to return for the castle.
