Yes, I am fairly certain it is a Downy Woodpecker, the Hairy is much larger, around 9". The holes on my peanut butter log feeder are approximately 6" apart; the log is only 14". C2100UZ and TCON 17...gotta love that combo! Thanks!

Great shot! I have the same setup as you (c2100&TCON-17). Are you sure it isn't a hairy woodpecker? I've taken many pix of the hairy woodpecker and thought it was a downey. I the mountains of Southern California we have many woodpecker breeds (I'm told about 200). Hint: the hairy has a longer bill. Feather colors are almost identical.
