Taken looking at them through the screen door. In the original shot, there was some slight texture added by the screen which reminded me of canvas. I added film grain in PS to heighten that.
There are some dogs that don't need to know what's going on. Not ridgebacks. They have to know everything - where you are, what you're doing, how close can they get to you while it's all going on. The worst for them is to be "barricaded" away from the action. My guys don't seem to realize a screen or a baby gate really can't hold 90 and 75 pound dogs. I'm grateful for that. :)
Rene de Haart has some really amazing galleries of his (and other) ridgebacks, including this one of puppies. http://www.pbase.com/renedehaart/rr_puppies
