In the always damp place at the side of the road about 1/4 mile from my house, the reeds decided spring was right around the corner and began to get ready to seed. The light on them caught my eye on my way home from work and I half slid down the slight embankment to get a few shots. They reminded me of cotton candy. The wind kicked up enough to release a bit of the fluff.
They anticipated too soon. Tomorrow it will snow - 3-5".
