The Sony F707 I used isn't quite as fast as the Nikon D70, but .. it is VERY quiet and since it isn't a 35mm style digital, the lens has a very remarkable feature - it tilts and angles. I can set the camera down in front of me or in my lap and tilt the lens to focus on someone 90 degrees away. Most of the 'voyeur' shots were done with this camera. The subway shots were done with the camera in my lap. I never looked directly at any of the people, but angled the lens and shot. The tilt is from the angle of the camera, no PS involved except, in some of them, to remove the color.
The Starbucks shots were done with the camera on the table, the lens angled and with a latte in one hand, the other pressed the shutter. That's it. :)
Donna - How'd you do this shot - shutter timer or remote control or ghost photographer? I assume that the tilt is just Photoshop (or did you lean your camera up on a latte cup).
