Caper Gull

dry season form, Cepora perimale, Pieridae
Irvinebank, Queensland
In the more common wet-season form, most of the brown on the hindwing underside is substituted with yellow or white.
This individual was unusual in being very small, scarcely more than half normal size, so much so that I didn't initially realise what it was.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Great shot. Interesting about the coloration relating to moisture.

For something so small, you got an excellent closeup.

Sharp capture of this interesting butterfly, like how its colour matches that of the background blur. V

small and differently coloured, perhaps this individual is going incognito...a fine, crisp shot..
