Little Melicope (Melicope rubra)

This small rainforest tree is the caterpillar food plant for the Ulysses Swallowtail butterfly. I’ve planted three of them and this is the first year they’ve been large enough to produce flowers.

What a gorgeous flower, interesting how they grow straight from the bark like
so many rainforest plants. v

Another interesting tree with such exotic blooms. Hopefully the swallowtails will come and lay their eggs on it. V
