Cape Leadwort does well in this area and is popular in local gardens. Though this is not an Australian native plant, it has been enthusiastically adopted as a food plant by the Plumbago Blue butterfly http://www.pbase.com/donfranklin/image/147734956) – it’s native food plant is Plumbago zeylanica – and in consequence this butterfly is the most abundant species in my home town.
