burnt heathland

A swampy heathland, burnt to a cinder 70 days prior, comes to life again - rapidly.
The fire was lit by an arsonist, but wildfires are a natural feature (from time to time) of these landscapes anyway, and one to which the vegetation is well-adapted.
Mooloolah River National Park, south-east Queensland, Australia.
