"Mickey" Jones was my friend who went back the furthest in time with me at the time of her death. I knew her back to either 1952 or 1953 when I was 5 or 6 and she was 15 or 16. She was the daughter of Herbert S. and Estelle "Bubbles" Robinson Jones and born in Miami on August 4, 1937. She was a Stingaree, graduating in the Miami High School Class of 1955. She passed away on August 15, 2008 in Young Harris, Georgia.

The Jones family and my family were good friends from the early 1950's until deaths separated everyone in the 70's and 90's. I last saw Mickey in 1999 when she flew down to Miami from Georgia when my Aunt Norma passed away. Norma and Mickey were close friends for many many years.

Mickey is survived by her daughters Robyn Jarrell and Molly Marsh and sons-in-law Don Hunter and Italy Marsh respectively, grandchildren Kelly Jarrell and Kristopher Jarrell, and great grandchildren Brittany Jarrell and Dillon Jarrell.

News of Mickey's death was very troublesome for me due to our long-standing friendship over many years. I extend my sympathies and condolences to Mickey's family and friends. This gallery will be added to as I find old photos of her to scan.
