The east side of LeJeune is not fully developed and the National Air Lines maintenance hangar and ramp is visible in the upper right. Eastern's maintenance base is pretty sparse compared to what was eventually built on the same property. Runway 27R is in the upper middle left. Miami Springs seems fairly well developed on the other side of 36th Street. The area in the lower part would become the main entrance road to MIA's 20th Street Terminal which opened in 1959.
