This photo was taken on my last full day at the station due to a promotion and a transfer to recruiting duty in Tampa. I lived and worked in this grand old house, built in 1938, for the latter half of 1967 and fortunately it was air-conditioned with individual room units shortly after my arrival there in June 1967. The house is now part of the Palm Beach Maritime Museum on Peanut Island since the Coast Guard built a new station further north on the Intra Coastal Waterway in 1995.
