We moved to our new house in June 1957, three months before this school opened half a block away. It was still under construction when we moved in. It celebrated its 50th Anniversary in September 2007.

I attended Palm Springs JR. High, 1/2 of the 7th grade, 8th grade, and 9th grade. I was there from 1964 to 1966, and I thought Palm Springs JR. High was a neat school, and I had alot of fun times, while there. Overall, I think it was a Good School !!! I remember most; Mr. Lanier,Coach Miller, Coach Holcomb, Mr. Ryals, Mr. Spinks, Mr. Dietrick, Miss Moore, Miss Lehrman, Coach Mulcheck, Mr. Gutierez, Mr. Scurlock, Mrs. Garrett, Mr. Jacobs, and Mrs. Malamed, oH, and Miss Clifford . As for students, I remember most; Debbie Ray, Gloria Amerson, Jackie Zimmerman, Lynn Morgan, Kathy Keahey, Mary Ann Savage, Sherry Watson, Julie Wollack, Pam Karp, Peggy Stoetzer, Lucy Walsh, Cheryl Williams, Tommy Morrisson, Chris Eichstadt, Noel Martinez, Tommy Marratta, Mike Cleveland, Bobby Nau, Ramon LLera, Tony Mijares, Vernon Stover, John Carroll, Eddie Insalaco, Brawner, Fred Silvio, Lance Viebeck, Gordon Janko, Rick Soriano, Mike Sullivan, Jimmy Murphy, Jimmy Burch, Larry Rhymer, Bill Bird, Daryl Bobcick, Diane Abreau, Ralph Ceballos, Pete Booth Steve Mc Corvey, Ignacio Bergenstein, Vernon Arnold,and many others, way too many to list. My3 favorite things at the school,were: Being on The Track Team, Our School Dances, and seeing; Lynn Morgan, Kathy Keahey, Gloria Amerson, Debbie Ray, Peggy Stoetzer, and all of the other pretty girls that we had there at PSJH.
