The girl next to PJ is Carmen Junquera. And yes, PJ is Ana Pezon.

If you are Olga Arias I might take your word for it and change the name to Olga Arias. Lisa, the captain of the squad, identified her as "Ibis" and as the captain she should know who was on the squad with her. Can you explain the discrepancy in names?

To those Miami High alumni who have tried locating Mr. Piro ( 4rd floor Mythology Class) without much success for the past 30 some odd years, we've located him. His email address is as follows: richardpiro1@aol.com

My old beautiful 1977 alma mater. Those were days I will never forget as everything was
magical: pep rallies, football games, east patio dances, marshmallow shoes
Flared bottom jeans, layered hair cuts, Non Verbis Sed Operis MHS sweat shirts
4th floor pool, Heaven group playing at the auditorium. My friends
Which I will never forget. My first crush. WOw ! It was truly magic and
I was fortunate and blessed to have roamed these hallowed halls.

I graduated with the class of 2005. I am very proud to have been part of MHS history, and feel nostalgia thinking about my old days in a classroom with an old wooden floor. And happy when I finally discovered the 4th floor did not have a pool, it was DRAMA class! Many of us who graduated from MHS have many stories to tell...

Whether you graduated in the 1930's or in the 2000's, whenever we see pictures or talk about MHS, it brings back all the wonderful memories. I graduated in 1976 and still feel the same pride I did back then.
I remember having classes with Mr. Thielen (English), Mr. Piro (Mythology), Mr. Kraft (Government), Mrs. Stevens (Math), Ms. Laudis (Mass Media), the best football Pep-Rallies in the auditorium, the corner food place where we used to buy meat pies, pastries and hanging out. Oh what unforgetable memories!!! The best to all Stingaree alumni.

I'm pretty sure the 5th one from left to right is Ana Pezon.

WOW!!....Like it was yesterday...I graduated Miami Senior High in 1977. Played soccer and music then. If my memory does not fail me, Ibis and myself were classmates...Spanish class maybe??...I remember Eunice, and also Jovita.
Many memories are flooding back,...that awesome soccer team we had in '75...GMAC Champions...yes...we were the Greater Miami Athletic Conceference Champions under the tutelage of Coach Marcos Morán.
To this day...at 51 years of age...I still breath, bleed and live Blue and Gold.
Thank you Mr. Boyd, for posting these wonderful pictures.

I actually happen to be in this picture. I was captain of the Varsity Cheerleaders (Lisa) at the time. This picture was taken at the Orange Bowl. From left to right, Eunice, Claire, Sadie, ?, PJ, Lisa, Gracie and Ibis. These were great times.

i also proudly graduated from SM but in 76 but bleed blue/gold. grew up 1 block from the OB and all my childhood friends are from MHS. i was part of the basketball entourage from the late 70's through the late 90's and there will never be anything like the "Asylum" against a bitter rival (Jackson, Lakes, Gables, NW, etc).

I graduated in this year, except from South Miami Sr. High.

MHS class of 81, no matter year of graduation, it was very special to attend such a historic school. This was a game in the Orange Bowl. The basketball games at the MHS gym are still very exciting with all the championship[40's to 05] banners hanging, no a/c and the wood bleachers. I just heard of MHS legendary coach Ralph Davis[1957-1982] passing at the age of 93.

I graduated from this school June 1958. Graduation was held at the Dade County Auditorium.
