We were on our way back home from the Sylvester Cancer Center at the University of Miami medical complex where I get my weekly chemo infusions. I wanted to dine on a big meal while it tasted great before the usual loss of appetite and taste buds for the following days after the infusion. I ate it all but I made the mistake of having cafe con leche and was unable to sleep later that night except for 45 minutes before having to get up for an appointment with a sleep disorder doctor at UM.
