I usually have breakfast with Eric, Coach Feduniak and Nelson Hernandez every Saturday morning. I've known Eric since 8th grade at Palm Springs Junior High and Coach Feduniak was at Hialeah High when I was there from 1962 to 1965. Coach recently had both lenses in his eyes replaced and with near perfect vision at age 91 he doesn't have to wear glasses anymore. He is still driving his own car and lives on a lake in the original development of Miami Lakes.

About a week or two after this photo was taken, Coach Feduniak suffered a stroke at home and after a short hospital stay was transferred to a rehab facility. Hopefully he'll be back with us at breakfast in the future.

Unfortunately, Coach Feduniak passed away in his sleep while living at an assisted-living facility in Kendall on September 25, 2012 at the age of 92. Rest in Peace and Godspeed, Coach Mike! We will never forget your great friendship and keeping us entertained almost every Saturday morning for over four years.
