1952 - aerial image of Marine Corps Air Station Miami at what later became Opa-locka Airport

Marine Corps Air Station Miami, Florida

Naval Air Station Miami became Marine Corps Air Station Miami in February 1952, a month before this photo which identified it as Naval Air Station Miami.

I never realized how screwy the runways were at what became Opa-locka Airport in the 1960's until viewing this image. It appears to be two separate airfields with no taxiways for aircraft to get from one side to the other.
