Hialeah High School Classes of 1965 and 1966 40-year Reunion - Friday, June 24, 2005

The Friday night events were held on the 18th floor of the Wyndham Hotel on June 24th. It was good to see old friends, especially some who I've known since 1957 when I moved to the Palm Springs section of Hialeah. Thanks to members of other 60's classes for attending the reunion - it was great having you there.

I don't normally photograph parties but at this stage in my life I want to try to preserve some history on the internet by photographing those great fellow students from Hialeah, Miami Springs and Miami Lakes who went through Hialeah High when I did. Some of our fellow classmates have already passed away and the number of deaths will increase as the years go by. One never knows if you'll make it to the next 10-year reunion and hopefully other classes from the 60's will invite other classes to attend their reunions in the years to come.

It was great to find these photos -- knew a lot of HHS grads 65-67. I also remember Sonia and Ingrid Berglund from Eastern Airlines' Air Scout Troup. We had a great time.

How great to see familiar faces from the good old days at HHS, did not get to attend the reunion due to physical limitations. What a terrific picture of Terry & Tommy Ferrer, we were in English & Spanish classes together! Glad to see they still have the fun loving attitude, by the shirts they are wearing.

I knew instant;y the photo on the table was Ivy Gralka! We were very good friends from Palm Springs Junior High through graduation from Hialeah High in " 66 ".

Can anyone tell me when she passed away and what the cause was? She has crossed my mind so many times over the years, always remembered her smile and wit!!

Thanks Don for preserving memories. You and Lefty McBride are terrific historians!!
